Gerry Beamish, Director, Beamish Associates International has been invited to speak at the world's largest Training Conference for a record eleventh time. The American Society for Training and Development's Annual International Conference draws participants from all over the world and will welcome some 10 000 international delegates to Atlanta in June. Gerry Beamish has been invited to speak more times than any other European since his first appearance in 1981. This year his topic is titled "I'd like to have a balanced life but I don't have the time!" More and more executives are becoming unhappy with the balance between their work, home and social life but pressures of competition, globalisation and economic situations make it hard to get that perfect balance. Gerry Beamish says, "We can all learn to save time, the big problem is that there is no bank we can put it in for future use. There is no point in saving time unless you know exactly what you want to do with it, make a plan to do that, then carry the plan out on a day by day basis." Gerry says, "balance isn't about managing your time in the traditional way. We all have the same amount of time so we need to look at our true values, priorities and energy. We need to be honest, courageous and a little ruthless to concentrate on what really matters and to cut off the people and things that steal our time and our energy." Delegates at the conference will have an opportunity to assess their current position and to identify what is unbalancing their life.
